Negative Nancy says: This involves platform risk.
Me: There is a platform risk because there is a platform. Having a platform means “finding users more easily”. On a side note, all the above tools are making revenues for years.
Negative Nancy says: There are already many tools around Twitter. How can you find a niche?
Me : (Continue reading the post to find niches around Twitter audience/Twitter API)
Some niches around the Twitter audience
Before we dive deep into niches, let’s wait for a second and see why do people use tools around Twitter.
There are major three reasons
It should let users make more money
It should bring in more followers on Twitter/any other social platform (more followers may bring in more revenues in flywheel effect) - either by self-analysis of Twitter status or by making more engaging posts.
It should automate cumbersome processes thereby achieving either 1 or 2
Based on these three points, let's see for a second and dive deep into what HypeFury is doing that it made hugely successful.
Some important features of HypeFury.
Automatic Retweeting - Hypefury automatically retweets after X number of hours or after a certain threshold is reached - This means MORE FOLLOWERS
Automatically Add Sales Tweets - This means MORE MONEY
Image Tweets - This means more engagement and thereby MORE FOLLOWERS
Screenshots of Tweet For Instagram - This means more engagement and thereby MORE FOLLOWERS
Schedule Threads and Tweetstorms - Better AUTOMATION
So, Hypefury is satisfying all the 3 reasons mentioned above - Get more followers, Bring in more money & Automate.
So, whats Hypefury’s principle - “Do one thing and do it well (really really well)”
Now, let's see if we can find some niches around these basics.
Micro SaaS for generating AI-based Tweets: One of the biggest problems for people posting on Twitter is the ‘writers-block’. After posting a few tweets, it often becomes tough to ideate and posts new content. Create a new SAAS product based on GPT-3 API that reads your previous tweets and analytics data for the tweets and automatically generates tweets based on this data which gives a high level of Twitter engagement. Sometimes GPT-3 can go crazy, so always provide an option for users either to “Auto-approve” tweets or provide “manual approval” for Tweets to post on behalf of users. Provide an add-on to generate the images also for Tweets. Usually, tweets with media attachments gather more attention. Based on the generated Tweet text, pull a gif from publicly available gifs or autogenerate media/images using Image APIs that take an image and text and output the image with text overlay. For example, BannerBear API can be used to autogenerate the images. Betting on this model, TweetHunter crossed $1M ARR in 2 years.
Twitter + Gumroad niche : (For starters, Gumroad is a platform for selling digital products like ebooks, courses, and videos) There is a lot of potential for this model. The concept is simple. The user sets the Tweet via your saas tool. Once it reaches a specific engagement threshold, add another Tweet (with a Gumroad link) to the original tweet as a comment or as a thread. This could be set based on “after X hours”, “after X number of likes” etc. A lot of potential for this and Gumroad authors love this. Further automate this by using Gumroad APIs - for example, after X number of coupons are sold, don’t promote the Tweet anymore as the user can’t give any more coupons or just add a comment “All coupons are sold out”. The whole process will keep the followers engaged and help drive more sales/traffic.
Micro SaaS for Twitter Bookmarks Organisation - Managing bookmarks isn’t easy for anyone. When it comes to organizing Twitter bookmarks, it gets much more complex. Create a Micro SaaS tool to categorize, tag, filter, search, and sort bookmarks. Users should be able to create their own curated tweets/digest from the tool that can be emailed/shared. The tools also should allow saving/exporting bookmarks to external tools like Airtable, and Notion.
Related Tools:
Tweetsmash - Tweetsmash streamlines the way you consume curated tweets. Your content inspirations and favorite topics all are organized in minutes. Receive it as a digest, or even sync it to Notion.
Dewey - Dewey makes it easy to search, organize, and share all your Twitter bookmarks into your favorite note-taking tools.
Marklog - A minimalist tool to collect links and Twitter Bookmarks. Categorize them using our AI-generated tags or add your own. Come back at any time to retrieve your content with our search engine.
TweepsBook - A notebook for storing, organizing, taking & sharing notes for all your favorite bookmarks.
Micro SaaS for Improved Search on Twitter: Twitter search is complicated and people need more help on Twitter to find leads, and connections and see what’s best on Twitter. Create a Micro SaaS tool to improve the Twitter search experience. See Twemex -for example. Twemex is a browser extension for Twitter. Twemex replaces the stock search bar with a power UI, with convenient shortcuts and instant results as you type. Twemex adds a powered-up search bar that unlocks new kinds of search: - Search your own tweets to reference in a tweet thread - Search tweets from people you follow, to learn about any topic - Search tweets from the user you're currently viewing, to mine their archives
Micro SaaS for Improved Twitter DM Management: If you have ever used Twitter, you would know how complex it is to manage Twitter DMs, organize these DMs and search in these DMs. Create a Micro SaaS tool that helps with this problem and makes Twitter DM management a breeze.
Related Tools:
Twift - Twift makes sending bulk DMs on Twitter without wasting hours. This means you can do giveaways like (reply with “👋 '”) and don't have to manually DM 100s of people.
SuperDMs - Give superpowers to your Twitter DM - Do Giveaways and send mass DMs easily in three clicks.
Hivoe - Kickstart conversations and build meaningful relationships on Twitter Grow an engaged audience, break the ice, get useful insights, outreach with customized messages, while staying productive.
Micro SaaS for Twitter Chatbots: Create an automated tool that can build Twitter chatbots and target hundreds of users by DMing them or handling received DMs. See Audience Connect for some inspiration. The tool should be able to create a custom chatbot in a few clicks and engage with subscribers and/or customers via Twitter using Direct Messages automatically. Audience Connect also manages subscribers with opt-ins included in the chatbot and creates multiple topics to target your communications.
