Me - Working on platform-based apps brings a ready-made audience using the platform. While there is a platform risk, the risk can be mitigated by just adhering to the guidelines. If you are building an app that can work with multiple social media platforms, implement the same for multiple platforms and reduce the risk so that if one platform rejects you, you can continue to build and survive while you fix the issues with the rejected platform and make it compliant.

Me - Not really. Many SaaS solutions support multiple platforms at the same time. See for more info in the next sections. In fact, the concept of generalized apps that can work across various social media platforms multiplies your revenue by supporting multiple platforms at the same time with the same functionality.
Deep-dive & Some niches
Database of Social Media Influencers: Create just a plain database of social media influencers across various social media platforms like Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, etc. Make sure you tag the influencers with the topics/content they usually post about. Also, make sure to update the stats of these influencers at least once per week to make sure the data is fresh. This data is primarily around the number of followers etc. If you could get more stats around the demographics, this will improve the data quality and makes it easy for users to drill down based on demographics data, platform type, and follower count. This is just a plain database and whosoever is interested to contact these influencers for any paid posts has to reach the influencers manually. InBeat makes $1M per year with a product like this.
Advertising platform connecting social media influencers: This is the same as above but with additional features and a full-blown solution where influencers can also register and input their data. It’s a kind of marketplace. Social Media influencers help increase the word-of-mouth publicity for many products. But often reaching these folks and understanding their pricing and making payments is a tedious task. Create a platform where social media influencers can list themselves with the data related to their follower count, post frequency, engagement stats, etc. Registered users can send interesting proposals to these influencers via the SaaS solution and get confirmations, make payments, etc. Make sure to support influencers across all social media platforms so that users can book multiple influencers from the same SaaS solution. Heepsy makes $3.5M per year with a product like this.
Instagram Tools for creating and editing pictures/videos: Instagram is primarily around picture content. Create a SaaS solution that helps people post content to Instagram easily. The tool should help users create posts and edit images so it creases audience engagement on social media platforms. Extend the functionality of the tool to support multiple other social platforms as well. Note that each platform has different suggested sizes for content. Make sure the content sizes automatically get adjusted during download based on the selected social platform.
Scheduling Posts: This is a great revenue-generating opportunity. There are hundreds of tools around this. Yes, there is demand with more people looking for automation around posting content to multiple social media channels at once. Create a SaaS solution that lets people publish to multiple platforms like LinkedIn, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram - all at once. Also, make sure you support creating an automated calendar to schedule the content beforehand instead of posting daily manually. The current tools around this are making thousands of dollars per month. Planoly makes around $11M/year in this segment.
E-commerce stores for Social Media Influencers: Social Media influencers often have a ton of followers and have a good engagement for their content. Create a solution for these influencers where they can create a simple e-commerce store and sell stuff for their audience. Having readily available followers who could potentially buy could generate extra revenue for these influencers easily. Create a solution where influencers can set up stores and automate creating posts for every product added to the store and make it easy for influencers to sell items. FourSixty makes around $1.3M/year with something like this.
Embed Instagram, TikTok feeds into WordPress and external websites: It is often not easy to add an Instagram feed to display on websites if you want specific posts with specific tags to be only displayed. On top of this, if you want to display feeds from multiple accounts with selected tags, it’s going to be complex. Create a plugin/solution around this which can display the selected feeds, posts based on tags and display them on websites. You can either start with a WordPress plugin or you can just build an embeddable javascript that can be used on any platform. Make sure to provide customization options. Tools around LinkedIn analytics: Create a Micro SaaS tool that helps people understand how their LinkedIn posts are performing over a period of time. Tools like these will help LinkedIn content creators streamline the content generation process and help them understand where they should double-down their efforts. See Inlytics for some inspiration. Your tool should target LinkedIn users and help them visualize historic data and monitor audience engagement on various posts. Provide further recommendations on how the profile can be updated to drive more followers and engagements to the content. This is also like Ilo but meant for a purely LinkedIn audience.
