Starterkits for Building Shopify Apps:
Shopify's massive ecosystem of over 2 million sellers and 13,000+ apps presents a huge opportunity for developers. However, building Shopify apps from scratch is often a time-consuming process, requiring developers to reinvent the wheel with every project. This is where a Starterkit for building Shopify apps comes in, following the trend of successful SaaS boilerplates and starter kits for various tech stacks. One of the inspiring success is that of ShipFast, a NextJS boilerplate that generated $63K in revenue within 60 days and which now makes $80K monthly. A Starterkit specifically designed for building Shopify apps would help developers build and launch Shopify apps faster. This boilerplate would come pre-integrated with the Shopify API, eliminating the need for developers to start from scratch. It should include essential features such as billing systems, authentication flows, pre-made UI components adhering to Shopify's design guidelines, an analytics dashboard for tracking app performance etc. For inspiration, see ShipReady that crossed A$2400 within a week of launch.
Micro SaaS for AI-Powered Social Media Lead Qualification:
Small businesses and marketers often waste hours scrolling through social media, trying to spot potential customers. Build a tool that uses AI to analyze social media conversations and identify potential customers based on their posts, profile bio and engagement patterns. Users describe their product or service and the tool finds leads who are actively seeking solutions. The AI tool should also create personalized messages based on what it knows about each lead instead of sending a generic message. Check lightscope that scrapes social media and finds leads. It grew to $400 MRR in 3 days. Another example is that of SallyAI an AI-Powered outreach tool that automatically identifies ready-to-buy prospects and send personalized messages at scale. It reached $250K ARR.
Micro SaaS for AI-powered website audit
Poorly optimized landing pages fail to convert traffic into paying customers, leading to missed opportunities and lost revenue for businesses. Build an AI-powered website audit tool that analyzes landing pages and provides comprehensive recommendations for improving copy, design and positioning. The tool should evaluate page layout, navigation, design and website copy. Provide actionable insights to improve search engine visibility, including keyword analysis and meta tag recommendations. You can also compare the website with direct competitors to identify areas for differentiation. An example in this niche is Get Website Report that was launched in Jan 2024 and generated $31K+ in revenue by providing AI-powered website analysis.
Micro SaaS for cross-platform video analytics
content creators and marketers need to manage, track and analyze video performance across multiple platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels etc.. Develop a Micro SaaS for cross-platform video analytics that consolidates video performance data, providing creators with comprehensive insights into their content's reach, engagement, and growth across all platforms. This will allow users to monitor multiple video accounts from a single dashboard. Users should be able to track key metrics like views, likes, shares, and audience retention rates for each video and across different platforms. Shortimize hit $1k MRR by providing a platform to track, analyze and explore YouTube, Insta and TikTok videos and accounts. Another example is StreamBee that can track across Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, Discord and Instagram. It received a total of €550K in funding.
Micro SaaS for Simple Hiring Tools:
Hiring has been in the industry for decades and in the last decade several SaaS solutions automated hiring with readily available questions, screen sharing, ready coding environments, automated assessments, etc. For example, SaaS solutions like CoderByte have 1000+ Enterprise customers and concentrate more on Enterprises. Other SaaS providers like HireVue don’t even allow manual signup without requesting a demo. HireVue currently making $60M in revenue per year. This is where small SaaS founders can start niching down. Create a SaaS solution around automating interviews. Do you think the market is saturated? Hiring is here to stay forever as long as companies exist. For inspiration see Intervue that crossed $4000 MRR and received funding. You can further niche down for areas like - ‘Bot-based hiring challenges/questions’, ‘Hiring for Cloud’, ‘Hiring for Non-Tech roles like Marketing, Sales, Ads Manager’ etc.
Micro SaaS for Live sessions and Webinars
While there are tools like Notion, Google Docs, Zoom, Whereby, PPTs, etc to run Live Sessions/Webinars and Cohorts, there is still a need for platforms that automate most of the things needed for running these sessions and webinars. To run these, there are a lot of things needed like building a webpage to sell the courses, display agenda, adding members, sending emails, tracking attendance, accepting payments, receiving payments, asking for feedback, accepting reviews, etc. Create a platform that handles all these things exclusively for teaching content and courses. SuperPeer in a similar space has raised $8M in funding in 2020 and is currently at estimated revenue of $4.5 M per year. Virtually in a similar niche has raised $2M in funding. TeachFlooranother tool for cohort-based course creators has an estimated revenue of $155K per year. Maven raised $20 million in funding. UTeach is another good product in this space with thousands of app downloads.
